Joel Goleburn, is an innovative entrepreneur at the helm of Real Estate Ventures, his San Francisco-based company that has designed from scratch a unique warehouse-based residential model. The working prototype, two formerly dilapidated early 1900s warehouses that now resonate with purpose, is a unique blend of the coop structure of the New York-style artist's loft and ideals coming out of the communes of the 70s.
With degrees in economics, holistic medicine and international business administration, and ten years of experience living and working in Italy, Israel and Japan, this builder-developer has woven his varied life experiences into the unique fabric that is his work. He now mediates two international warehouses that provide homes to 30 residents from 15 countries. He has also been a chiropractor, a Japanese translator/interpreter, a scuba instructor (in Japanese), a Big Brother, and did a stint as the volunteer Director of Big Brother's Volunteer Events program in San Francisco. He speaks Japanese, Italian, Spanish, French and Hebrew, and is self-taught in all phases of residential remodeling, including carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
Joel has facilitated three Artist's Way groups gratis, and is currently setting up private practice as a personal coach, mentor and group facilitator, the focus of which will be teaching creativity the Artist's Way.
